About the JungleDragon public alpha

Thank you for visiting the JungleDragon alpha environment. There are a few things you should know in advance of using this environment. Kindly review the information below.

Where am I exactly?

You are at the testing environment of JungleDragon. JungleDragon is a social image sharing community that exclusively focuses on nature. You are currently looking at the first public alpha version of JungleDragon, which contains the core functionality. We launched this environment for testing and public feedback, and we need your help for it.

Restrictions

This is a JungleDragon environment that is for testing only. The following important restrictions apply:

  • The URL is for testing only. You may forward it to friends for the sake of testing, but please understand that once JungleDragon goes in production, a new URL will be used.
  • Any data (your account, images, comments, etc) that you contribute to this environment are for testing only. They will not be migrated to the future production environment.
  • You may upload plenty of images for the sake of testing, but please do not launch automated stress tests on this environment.
  • JungleDragon is designed to hold a large collection of images and users. However, since the testing public will be much smaller, things may appear a little quiet and empty.
  • Some features you may expect, such as search and RSS, do not work yet.

How do I test JungleDragon?

You can test what you want and how you want it. You can dive in without any introductions. You can test for functionality, security, user experience, anything at all. You can test for 5 minutes or 5 hours. We appreciate all feedback.

Still, it may be worthwhile to first have a look at some useful resources that make you familiar with JungleDragon. It may make testing easier. A great start is to read the FAQ, which answers common questions and gives you an overview of available features. You may also be interested in the JungleDragon blog
